About Steven M. Ruffalo
Steven M. Ruffalo is the founder of Settlement by Design and a Partner at Krieg DeVault LLP. Throughout his career, Steven has worked with corporate and individual clients on a broad spectrum of disputes, including professional malpractice, business to business disagreements, contested estates, investment advisor/financial exploitation claims, property disputes, sensitive employment/HR issues and contests over the rights and interests of LLC-corporate-partnership owners. He works to reduce the time and expense associated with litigation whenever possible, using negotiation and mediation to reach an agreeable resolution for each client.
Today, Steven derives great personal satisfaction from his work as a mediator. At Settlement by Design, his sole focus is mediating disputes for attorneys and their clients. His experience handling hotly contested cases has taught him to defuse entrenched parties and help them refocus on creating a sensible solution. No matter how complicated the dispute nor how intractable the parties, his mediation skills are up to the challenge.
